Death leaves a heartache no one can heal.
Love leaves a memory no one can steal.

Fly High Officer Eyer !

My deepest condolences to the entire Eyer family, and friends. And always, May the Fourth be with you Officer Eyer.

While I didn’t know Officer Eyer, please accept my condolences…I am praying for his precious family…May you feel Gods comfort and receive strength through him. He gave the biggest sacrifice, the sacrifice of life to keep us all safe from harm, and will be remembered and honored always…
RIP Officer Eyer

To the family of Joshua Eyer, I want to send my deepest condolences on the loss of your husband, son, father and brother.
Mrs. Eyer, I did not know your husband, but as a resident of Charlotte I thank him for keeping us safe. My grandfather was a police officer and had several prayers that my aunts kept. One is for fallen officers. I hope it brings some comfort. May God bless you.

Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask for your grace and mercy for the family of the fallen officer. We pray that you will shelter them in your love and provide them with the peace and strength they need to cope with their loss. Send your angels to surround them and grant them solace during this difficult time.
Give them the courage to face the days ahead, and remind them that you are with them in their sorrow. Let them find comfort in knowing that their loved one is now with you in your Kingdom, surrounded by joy and peace.
We thank you for the sacrifice of the fallen officer and for their commitment to serve and protect. Thank you for granting them a place in your Heavenly home.
We pray before you to bring comfort and peace to the family of the fallen police officer. May we all honor their memory and be inspired by their selfless service and sacrifice. Amen.

Prayers to his family. From Pikeville NC. My father was a police officer for 55 years

Dearest Eyer's Family, we grieve alongside you! Although we have never met...we are family! Anyone in LE knows that when one LE family hurts...we all feel that hurt.
These are the hardest times and we are so very, very sorry! Let the Holy Spirit comfort you as He promised! Our prayers are with you all.
Remember...this is not goodbye, only "see you later!"
With sincerest love and condolences,

Messages from a Fallen Officer, by Lt Dan Marcou

To My Partner
You did all that you could, I fell and you stood.
You know sadness was never my style.
Those were the cards that we drew, nothing else more to do,
Except remember me, friend, with a smile.

To My Spouse
Don’t think me gone, but away, though I wish I could stay,
I’m not there, but our love did not end.
We had faith, we had love, sure as God is above
I feel your love from here that you send.

To My Children
I know for you it is hard to be alone in the yard
In that place where we laughed and we played.
My girl, my boy, know you still give me joy,
Live your life as I did, unafraid.

To Officers Left Behind
Each day you hit the street to cover your beat,
Prepare for the dangers you face.
Train hard, wear your vest, you’ll be put to the test.
Each day with your family embrace.

To the Criminals
Now that I’m here and God’s plan is so clear
To you, there is but one thing to say.
You steal, rape and kill and abuse your free will
Your time will come when there’s Hell to pay.

To All
I seem gone from you now, but I know that somehow
We will reunite in another place.
For “The good they die young,” is a song often sung,
But this verse is flawed on its face.

You see the good don’t die young, but instead, they live on,
In memories, and many a heart.
The good that you do does not die when you do.
For the good, death’s not an end, but a start.

So sorry for your loss. Didn't know this officer, but his family is in my thoughts and prayers 🙏 ❤️

From Chicago to Charlotte, we embrace. We buried our Officer Huesca Monday.
We pray, we remember, we love you.
God Bless-

I didn't know this Officer and I don't live in Charlotte. But this just touched my heart as I am a member of the online campus of a well-known Charlotte Church (Elevation Church). I will be making a trip to Charlotte in July as my kids attend Youth Camp and this will be on my mind then. I am sending the family thoughts and prayers from Jacksonville, FL. May you S.I.P Officer Eyer and don't worry your fellow officers will continue your dedication to the job and will also be there for your wife and son.

My family and I will continue to pray for your family. Look to vid for comfort—my condolences.

Retire CMPD

I didn't know Officer Eyer personally, but I could tell he was a loving and sincere man. May God provide his beautiful wife, adorable son and the rest of the Eyer family strength, love, and peace during their time of sorrow.

Sending heartfelt condolences to the family of our fallen comrade. Josh’s sacrifice will never be forgotten, and his courage will always be honored, hooah! May God bring his loved ones peace, serenity and consolation during this incredibly hard time.

My sincere condolences to the family. Coming from law enforcement myself it is the dreaded phone call that our family can receive and I am truly sorry that your family got that call. From the stories about Joshua-you should be proud; he is such a true HERO. May God comfort your family and may you see Joshua all around you wherever you go. May Andrew grow up to know the true hero his father was-not all heroes wear capes; most wear badges!!! 🖤💙🖤. It has been a sad week and I will forever keep your family in my prayers and thank him and your family for the ultimate sacrifice!

I'm so very sorry for your loss for all of our loss. His service to our state, our country and our God will never be forgotten.
I pray your faith, family, friends and community will bring you comfort and peace.
God bless you and your beautiful son.

Praying for your family and your wife and your son to heal their broken heart. Thank you for your service and what you gave that will never be forgotten.

Officer Eyer, thank you for your sacrifice. My condolences to family and friends. Wishing you feelings of comfort, moments of peace and memories of joy during this difficult time. A city, state and nation mourn with you. RIP Officer Eyer.

Ashley, this is a wonderful picture of all of you and I really love it! I've always admired you and Josh for the wonderful and happy marriage you have had! You could always see joy, happiness, love and excitement exude from the both of you because both of you together truly had all of that and more in your little family. Both of you are such wonderful people and parents and it is rare to see a father so involved with his little boy, but he wanted to be as much as possible. You could tell he had a very caring heart! I wish I knew you guys and all of my cousins better and maybe, down the road, you and I can get to know each other more. I wish I had the words and ability to make it go away, but I don't and never will understand. I don't even like the little cliché people use that God needed him back. The Sovereignty of God is just something we have to accept whether we want to or not. It's not right or fair in our eyes and we will never comprehend why God decided to call home such a young, married man with a little boy, but we still know that God loves us. My favorite Bible verse is Romans 8;28 because it's the only verse that helps me make sense out of life; "And we know that for those who love God, ALL things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose." I love you Ashley and will do anything for you. I'm just a phone call away at 704-609-9945 (cell) and I'm almost always available, so don't hesitate to call me. I will be there today!

Ashley & family,
I am so very sorry for your loss and please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Ashley your husband was a true hero and my wife and I appreciate his service in the military to the Charlotte Police Dept.

Condolences to the Eyer family. Thank you Officer Joshua Michael Eyer for your honorable service over the years. Gone but never to be forgotten...R.I.P.

My deepest condolences for the entire Eyer family. Many prayers for you now, tomorrow and we'll beyond. I personally didn't know Joshua, but feel a sense of brotherhood as I sought degree to work in law enforcement and did for a while, and all others in blue were my closet friends, my comrades, and those you could turn to for anything. So my heart aches, and hurts along with every fallen officer, their comrades, as well as, their families, and they will forever always be part of my family. 🙏❤️🙏

Ashley, Andrew, and all of the many family members and friends of Joshua's,
I know words cannot mend your sadness and broken hearts, just know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry that this has happened. His service in the military and as an officer are greatly appreciated. Sending love and hugs to you.

I don't have words to comfort you and I am so sorry for the loss of Mr. Eyer.
I once read this & it helps me when I miss my loved ones:
We love them,
We miss them,
We grieve for them &
So we live our lives to make them proud. Prayers for you in the upcoming days as you travel a new difficult path in life.

I met Joshua in the Army National Guard. I told him I wanted to join CMPD and we talked all about it. He even gave me his phone number so I could hit him up and ask him any questions. He was a good soldier and a great man. I was devastated when I learned he had lost his life.
Rest in peace Joshua.

It was an honor and a privilege to serve alongside of Josh. Thoughts and prayers to the Eyer family. TIL Valhalla brother.
