Judge Earl Love

Born February 23, 1940, in Union County, North Carolina, Earl was the son of Brice B. Love and Mary Mullis Love.

He was preceded in death by his wife, June Love; son, Leonard Love; and brother, Kenneth Love. He is survived by his son, Joel Keith Love (Carmen) of Matthews, North Carolina; grandchildren, Amber Love of Charlotte, North Carolina and Jordan Love of Matthews, North Carolina; brother, Larry Love of Monroe, North Carolina; sister-in-law, Margaret Love of Monroe, North Carolina; special niece, Kelsey Helms of Monroe, North Carolina; as well as other numerous nieces and nephews.

Earl proudly served 13 years in the North Carolina National Guard, B Battery 113th Field Artillery. He later retired with 35 years of service at Harris Teeter supermarkets in Monroe, North Carolina.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe, located at 204 South Main Street, Monroe, North Carolina. A funeral service to celebrate Earl’s life will be held following the visitation at 12:15 pm with Pastor Jeff Whitecotton officiating. Burial with military honors will then follow the service at Lakeland Memorial Park in Monroe, North Carolina.
