Justin Albert Pontes

Justin was the son of Lisa Burton and the late Scott Burton. He graduated from Providence High School in 2007. He went on to graduate with a triple major from Appalachian State University, as Pi Kappa Alpha in 2011.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his father, Albert M. Pontes of Geneva, NY; sister, Jessica Pontes of Charlotte; nephew, Aiden Pontes-Landis; grandparents, Vernon and Ruth Beasley, Albert Pontes, and Tom and Jayne Burton; aunts and uncles, Greg and Sheree Beasley, Lisa Pulver, Dan and Kristen Pontes, Shelley Earnhardt, Tom and Susan Burton and Steve and Angie Burton. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Pauline Pontes, and great friend, Jimmy Lewis.

Justin will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Justin loved baseball, snowboarding, fishing, and spending time with his best friends, DJ McMurchie, Ryan Webster, Greg Beasley, and Chris Fonseca.

A celebration of the life of Justin Pontes will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at St. Luke Catholic Church. The family will gather to receive friends immediately following in the fellowship hall.
