Kenny Gerald Love

Kenny was born on August 4, 1937 in Winnsboro, South Carolina to parents, Walter M. Love and Mattie (Long) Love. He married the love of his life, Betty M. Love and together they had two children, Gerry Love and Terri Love (Hedrick).

Kenny spent his career as a Systems Dispatcher at Duke Power. He was a lifelong Shriner and was honored as a 32° Mason. Throughout his life, Kenny was a proud Christian, devoted to his faith and family, and was active in his church community. He enjoyed any opportunity to spend time with his wife, children and grandchildren. After he retired, Kenny moved to Sunset Beach, North Carolina and became an avid golfer.

Towards the end of his life, Kenny moved to Sunrise on Providence Assisted Living in Matthews, North Carolina, where he was active and well loved amongst his community. His spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Kenny's family wishes to thank the staff of Sunrise on Providence for their excellent care and loving kindness.

He was predeceased by his wife, Betty; parents, Walter and Mattie; and brother, Bill Love.

Survivors include children, Gerry (Gaye Frick) Love of Indian Trail, North Carolina and Terri (Kim) Hedrick of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; grandchildren, Valerie Love and Megan Love of Boone, North Carolina; nephew, Bill Love; nieces, Melody Love Orr and Roxanne Love; and special friend, Joyce Hartis.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kenny's memory may be made to the American Heart Association and/or Shriner's Children's Hospital.
