It is with heavy hearts, but also a deep sense of peace, that we share that Kevin Michael Belina, a devoted husband, father, and loyal friend, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 26, 2026. He fought a 5-year brutal battle with pancreatic cancer with intense courage and resilience.
Born on December 19, 1958, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Kevin was an adventurous, down-to-earth, hard-working man with a great sense of humor, who cared deeply about his family. In August 1981, he married his best friend and true soulmate, Laura Belina. Over nearly 45 years of marriage, they built a beautiful life together, remaining inseparable and deeply devoted to one another.
Kevin was incredibly proud of his family. He leaves behind his beloved children, Kimberly Perry and Nicholas Belina. He is also survived by his son-in-law, David Perry, who was just like a son to Kevin, always offering a helping hand, kindness, and unwavering support.
A natural lover of the outdoors, Kevin spent many wonderful years in Montevallo, Alabama, on a beautiful 10-acre property. He found great peace there, spending his time maintaining his creek and creating a walking trail through the trees.
He later moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, a transition that allowed him to spend his final moments exactly where he wanted to be—at home, surrounded by the warmth and love of his closest family and friends during his final years.
Those who knew Kevin will remember him through the simple pleasures he loved most: spending quality time with his family, exploring local breweries, enjoying a great prime rib or catfish dinner, and taking trips to the mountains. He will be deeply missed by the many people who walked alongside him on his exhausting journey.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to those who truly stepped up, checked in, and supported Kevin along the way. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts; your kindness meant everything to him.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Kevin's memory to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at pancan.org to support ongoing research and patient advocacy. Alternatively, you could just keep voting blue—Kevin would highly endorse either.
In keeping with Kevin’s wishes, a small private service will be held for the immediate family.
