

She was a devout Christian and dedicated her life to serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Lauretta was born on July 30, 1926, to Charles and Virginia Terry Brewer in Jackson, Kentucky “Breathitt County”, located in the southern region of the Appalachian Mountains.
Lauretta was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawton Burton (1987), and her second husband, William “Bill” Vandeventer (2022). Two of her brothers preceded her in death, Eugene and Robert Brewer as well as four sisters, Cordelia, Juanita Edwards, Lois Riegel, and Marcella Mall. She was also preceded in death by step-grandson, Kevin Cook.
She is survived by daughter, Gale and Bob Greenlee of Saint Augustine, Florida, Grandsons, Christopher (Christine) Greenlee and Craig Greenlee, Great Grand-Children, Jenifer and Andrew Dills, Briana Greenlee, Danielle and Hunter Truss, and Griffen and Alannah Greenlee, Great-Great Granddaughter's, Isabella and Gabriella, Sister, Mary McManmon, Brothers, Bill and Dottie Brewer and Larry and Mary Brewer, Stepdaughters, Debbie and Jerry Cook and Carolyn and Tom Campbell, Step-Grandchildren, Brian and Tina Cook, Christy and Drew Smalley, Amy and Matthew Whisler, Jared and Ally Cook and Kelly and Ben Jacobs, and many nieces, nephews and countless friends.
A service to celebrate Lauretta's life will be held on Friday July 26, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Indian Trail, Indian Trail North Carolina. Family will receive friends from 10am-11am, with services to follow at 11am, to be officiated by Pastor Danny Myers with burial to follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, Mint Hill North Carolina.
