Lewis L. A. Jones Anderson Jones

Lewis was a US Navy veteran and a retired Charlotte fireman, everyone can probably remember one story at least about “L.A.”within the department as he was a serious prankster. He loved and was loved by his family and friends. He was his happiest with a household full of people with whom he shared his love of the water whether by the pool or beach, and he was always ready to fish. He loved to travel and made many vivid memories with friends and family.

Lewis is survived by daughter, Tiffney Cannon and her husband William Cannon and son, Robby Jones as well as grandchildren Christopher Cannon, Jacob Cannon and Ashley Cannon; Trent Jones, Adam Jones and Chase Jones. Lewis is preceded in death by his wife (Barbara Ann Duncan), mother and father (Sarah and Rufus Jones), sister (Charlene McRorie) and son (Scott Jones).

The Family would like to extend our gratitude and love to the wonderful, caring staff at Oaks of Mayfield, Raleigh NC for their attentive and loving care of our beloved father and grandfather during his residence there.

A memorial service will be held by the family on October 16, 2014, from 5pm-8pm at McEwen Funeral Home at 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Rd, Charlotte NC.
