Linda was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she attended Domenec High School. She was the beloved daughter of the late William and Loretta Sippel. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, William Sippel (Connie) and LaVerne Lugar.
In the winter of 1968, Linda met the love of her life, Tony Nardozzi. They shared 53 wonderful years of marriage and built a beautiful life together centered around family, love, and lasting memories. Together, they raised four children and eventually built their family home in Wexford, Pennsylvania, where they formed close and lasting friendships with their neighbors. Linda was also a founding parishioner of Saints John and Paul Parish, a community that remained an important part of her life and faith.
Linda devoted many years to being a homemaker, lovingly raising her four children: Jason Nardozzi (Adan), Lisa Hale (Steven), Mark Nardozzi (Lindsay), and Lauren Devanney (Timothy). As her children grew older, Linda pursued her own educational goals and earned her bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Pittsburgh.
She went on to build a successful career in banking and recruiting, but her most meaningful work was as a paraprofessional aide for special needs students in the North Allegheny School District. She found great joy in supporting her students. After retiring in 2015, Linda and Tony relocated to Charlotte in 2016, where she remained active in their community and continued building meaningful friendships.
Linda was a proud and loving grandmother to eight grandchildren: Alexa, Addie, Gianna, Danny, Ella, Alex, Luke, and Leo, who brought immense joy to her life.
Linda enjoyed playing Mahjong and also loved playing cards with her “card club” in Pittsburgh with whom she shared many laughs since 1975. She treasured family vacations to Hilton Head, where countless cherished memories were made with Tony, her children, and grandchildren.
Linda will be remembered for her thoughtful nature, her kindness, and her unwavering dedication to her family and friends. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community.
