Luba was born May 25, 1947, in Stuttgart Germany, to the late Stefan and Maria Melnyk. She attended Immaculata College and St. Mary’s High School. She was employed with Butler High School in Matthews, for over 20 years.
Luba was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Michael John Belcak.
Surviving are two sisters, Nusha Allen and Yuy Kunderewcz; brother, Raym Melnyk; son, Mike Belcak; grandson, Michael Buffum-Belcak; granddaughter, Sadie Belcak; two grand dogs, Panzer and Moose; and two great-grand dogs, Yuri and Asuka.
