Madeline Caudle Hines, 87, of Charlotte, went home to be with the Lord on January 23, 2014. She was born in Mecklenburg County on January 12, 1927 to the late and Floyd and Bernice Caudle. Madeline graduated from Harding High School, also attended Hickory Grove Baptist Church and had a passion for reading, gardening, music and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her sisters; Beverly Caudle and Mary McHone and brothers; Al and Luther Caudle. She is survived by her daughters; Lynn Hines, Marlon Hines and Lisa (Craig) Gainey, and brothers; Floyd and Aubrey Caudle.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 26, 2014 from 4:00 to 6:00pm with refreshments provided at McEwen Mint Hill Chapel 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Rd. Charlotte, NC 28227. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, January 27, 2014 at 1:00pm in the chapel at McEwen in Mint Hill.
