Marilyn Flanagan Ribosh

Marilyn grew up in a close-knit family alongside her four sisters, who all preceded her in death. The love they shared remained one of the greatest blessings of her life, and the memories they created together stayed close to her heart.

On April 19, 1958, Marilyn married the love of her life, Andrew “Jack” Ribosh. Together they built a life centered around faith and family. Together, they raised four children.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Debbie Collins, and son-in-law, Ken Collins, of Waxhaw, North Carolina; her sons, Andrew “Andy” Ribosh of Monroe, North Carolina, Paul Ribosh of Monroe, North Carolina, and Raymond Ribosh of Saugerties, New York, and his significant other, Cindy.

She was also a proud grandmother to three grandchildren and a loving great-grandmother to four great-grandchildren. Nothing made Marilyn happier than spending time with her family and watching them grow.

Anyone who knew Marilyn knew she never met a stranger. She had a kind heart, a warm smile, and loved talking with everyone she met. She had a way of making people feel welcome and cared for. She also loved the simple joys in life: having her hair and nails done, dressing in bright, colorful clothes, and bringing a little extra beauty and happiness wherever she went. Her sweetness, generosity, and joyful spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 pm on August 17, 2026, at St Luke Catholic Church on Fairview Road in Mint Hill, North Carolina 28227.

To honor Marilyn’s colorful spirit, her family invites those attending her service to wear bright colors in celebration of the joy and warmth she brought into the lives of others.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Luke Catholic Church, Wounded Warrior Project, or Forgotten, Now Family Dog Rescue, three organizations that were close to Marilyn’s heart.
