

She was born in San Francisco, CA to Nicholas Mead and Rosemary Dooley Mead. Mrs. Rutman graduated from Rosemont College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and from Adelphi University with a Master’s in Business Administration. She also completed post – graduate work in Banking at ABA Stonier School of Banking at University of Delaware. During her career in Banking and Health Care, she was a Senior Vice President for Fleet Bank and a Corporate Vice President for Catholic Health System on Long Island. Mrs. Rutman later had a consulting practice specializing in Strategic Planning and Executive Coaching.
She was a very active member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church and subsequently St. Luke’s Catholic Church where she was very active in several ministries including Living Your Strengths where she was able to bring her coaching skills to the parishes.
Mrs. Rutman was devoted to her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Leon Rutman of Mint Hill, NC; two sons, Tynan Sinatra (Christine) of Quakertown, PA and Michael Sinatra-McCracken (Patricia) of New York, NY; two stepchildren, Dr. Matthew Rutman (Neeta) of Miller Place, NY and Ruth DiGiovanni (Martin) of Roseland, NJ; three grandchildren, Jasper, Annabelle and Tristan; five step grandchildren, Arianna, Jonah, Joseph, Henry, and Isabel; two sisters, Rosemary Trompeter (Chris) of Darien, CT, Geraldine Allen (Doug) of Honolulu, HI; one brother, David Mead (Juli) of Denver, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Michael Mead (Kathleen) and Nicholas Mead, Jr. and her son David Sinatra.
Visitation will be held from 6:30pm until 8:30pm on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10:00am on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Saint Luke Catholic Church, 13700 Lawyers Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227.
A committal service will be held at 12:00pm following the service at the Hebrew Cemetery, 1801 Statesville Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28206.
