Mavis Louise Richardson, 88, of Charlotte, NC passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. She was born on October 14, 1935 to Edison and Nellie Wood.
Mavis graduated from Gray's Creek High School in Fayetteville, NC. Her faith was very important to her and she would make sure her family was at church every week and she enjoyed singing in the choir. Mavis never met a stranger, her friendly personality was there for people in good times or trying times. She would share her faith with everyone and was a shining light to many people.
Mavis is survived by her children, Melody Marsh (Lin) and Danny Richardson; her grandchildren, Danielle Marsh and Cody Marsh; and many other loving extended family members.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church - Fellowship Hall, 2817 Mt Harmony Church Road, Matthews, NC. Burial will be private at Evergreen Cemetery, Charlotte, NC.
