He was born in Peoria, Illinois, on July 20, 1928.
Gene was a graduate of Missouri University of Science & Technology, formerly MSN-UMR at the University of Missouri at Rolla.
He was a nuclear engineer with Science Applications International Corporation.
He was an avid skier and received an award from the National Ski Patrol for twenty-five years of dedicated service to the Ski Liberty Ski Patrol in Maryland.
A Celebration of Gene’s Life will be held on Saturday, Mar. 19, 2011, from 2-4 p.m. at the Clark’s Residence, 10322 Club Field Court, in Mint Hill, NC.
Gene was the beloved husband of Loretta L. (Lennie) Langston, father of Mark Langston, Nancy Shepp, and Janie Ebert, and stepfather of Laura Kempf, Lisa Salvatore, and Jennifer Clark. He had nine grandchildren/stepgrandchildren.
