Mr. Montford Sanderson

Montford retired from Sanderson Drywall of Charlotte. Through the years, he was deeply cherished by those who knew him, and his steady presence and kind spirit left a lasting impression on family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.

A passionate golfer, Montford especially enjoyed time at Charlotte National Golf Course. His warm, friendly manner and open handed generosity were felt in countless everyday moments, and he had a way of bringing a smile—and often a laugh—to those around him.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Sanderson was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward, Lankford, James Robert (Sonny), Gary (Jim) Sanderson, and his sister, Arbiadella Sanderson Hunt. Mr. Sanderson is survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends Monday, August 17, 2026 from 12:30PM to 1:30PM at McEwen Funeral Service -Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Road Mint Hill, NC 28227. The funeral will immediately follow. Montford will be laid to rest at Charlotte Memorial Gardens, 7632 Hood Road, Charlotte, NC 28215.
