

Patricia Hardy Dozier, affectionately known as “Pat” to her family and friends, was born on October 25, 1939, in Kannapolis, North Carolina, and went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 17, 2026, while surrounded by her family. She was 86 years old and a resident of Mint Hill, North Carolina.
Pat was a devoted member of Arlington Baptist Church, where she worked as the office manager for more than thirty years. She served with dedication, warmth, and genuine care for others, touching the lives of many through her kindness and unwavering support. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she spent much of her time in prayer and reading daily devotions. Pat’s gentle spirit and caring heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She found great joy in gardening and sharing what she grew with family and friends. She also had a deep affection for animals and took delight in caring for her pets with the same tenderness she showed to all. Her family remembers her as a loving mother and grandmother whose life was marked by faith, honor, and a welcoming spirit.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Hardy; her father, Noble Hardy; her stepmother, Evelyn Hardy; and her son, Gary West. Pat is survived by her sons, Kevin Dozier and wife, Wendi, and Chris Dozier and wife, Martha; her daughter-in-law, Tracy, wife of her late son, Gary West; and her grandchildren, Sidney West, Tyler Dozier, Elizabeth Dozier, and Helen Dozier. She is also survived by her sisters, Jane Woodward and husband, Ronnie, and Nell Hardy-Ramsey and husband, David; her beloved cousin, Bobbie, and husband, Tim Pope; along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her greatly.
Her family finds comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the presence of the Lord she faithfully served. The family would like to recognize Zoe for her support, comfort, and friendship, especially in Pat’s final months. The family would also like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Sunrise Senior Living and Via Hospice for the compassionate care and support shown during this difficult time.
Visitation will be held at Arlington Baptist Church, 9801 Arlington Church Rd, Mint Hill, NC 28227, on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. followed by a memorial service beginning at 11:00 a.m. A committal service will take place at Carolina Memorial Park, 601 Mt Olivet Rd, Kannapolis, NC 28083, following the memorial service.
