Renee Christine Alderman

Born on August 28, 1967, in Rochester, New York, Renee was the daughter of Linda Ruth Clark and the late Robert William Berube. She was raised in Manlius, New York, where she graduated from Fayetteville-Manlius High School in 1985. From an early age, Renee possessed an adventurous spirit, a warm smile, and a genuine love for people that remained with her throughout her life.

On September 18, 2011, Renee married the love of her life, Forrest Alderman. Together they built a life rooted in faith, family, laughter, and adventure. Those who knew Renee and Forrest knew they were rarely apart, sharing a deep love for one another, their Catholic faith, their family, and every new adventure life had to offer. Forrest describes Renee in three simple words: full of life, humorous, and wonderfully quick-witted. Renee often joked that she was "an acquired taste," but, as Forrest lovingly says, "we all loved the taste." As devoted Catholics, Renee and Forrest were active members of Saint Luke Catholic Church in Mint Hill, finding joy in worshipping together, serving their church community, and sharing God's love through their kindness and generosity. Renee also served as a Eucharistic Minister at Saint Luke's, a ministry she embraced with reverence, humility, and a servant's heart.

Renee built a successful career as a financial broker and investment professional, dedicating more than two decades to helping individuals and families plan for their futures. Beginning her professional career in banking, her natural curiosity and desire to continue learning inspired her to grow into the financial services industry, where she became a trusted advisor to countless clients. Those who knew her professionally remember her not only for her knowledge and dedication, but also for the genuine compassion and personal care she extended to everyone she served.

Life outside the office was where Renee truly shone. She and Forrest rarely passed up an opportunity for an adventure. Whether relaxing on her beloved Topsail Beach, visiting family in Pensacola, Florida, West Virginia, and South Carolina, attending concerts and sporting events, camping, or hiking, Renee embraced every opportunity to make memories. Her adventurous spirit extended to the skies, where she took flying lessons and enjoyed piloting small aircraft on several occasions, embracing every opportunity to see life from a new perspective. Skydiving became one of the adventures that forever changed Renee, perfectly reflecting the fearless enthusiasm with which she embraced life. Renee never met a stranger and delighted in meeting new people wherever life's journey took her. Her laugh was contagious, her smile was welcoming, and she had a remarkable gift for making everyone she met feel like an old friend. She also treasured the companionship of her beloved fur babies, whose unconditional love brought her endless happiness.

Renee embraced her role in a blended family with warmth, compassion, and unconditional love. She welcomed each member with an open heart and created lasting memories with her in-laws, stepchildren, and grandchildren, cherishing every opportunity to bring the family together.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Forrest Alderman; her loving mother, Linda Ruth Clark of Albemarle, North Carolina; her stepchildren, Nikki Dalesio (Cole), Christopher Alderman (Alexis), and Megan Alderman (fiancé, Skyler Holsapple); her cherished step-grandchildren, Gretchen Mulcahy, Anthony Dalesio, Camilla Dalesio, and Kai Alderman; her sister-in-law, Beverly Hemmings; her brother-in-law, Barry Alderman (Diane); her nephews, Grant and Noah; her niece, Olivia; her dear cousin, Katie Mayne (Carl), and their children, Cadan and Kaylie; and many extended family members, friends, fellow parishioners, colleagues, and neighbors whose lives were touched by her kindness, generosity, and vibrant spirit.

Renee was preceded in death by her father, Robert William Berube; her beloved mother-in-law, Connie Atkins; her beloved uncle, Mark Clark; and her cherished fur babies, Pax and Sophie.

Though her passing was sudden, Renee's life will forever be remembered not for its brevity, but for the love she freely gave, the faith she faithfully lived, and the adventures she eagerly embraced. Whether serving her parish, caring for those she loved, or fearlessly taking to the skies, Renee lived with gratitude, courage, and joy. She was truly full of life, and her humor, quick wit, and infectious spirit brought smiles to everyone fortunate enough to know her. While she will be deeply missed, her legacy of faith, kindness, love, laughter, and adventure will live on in the countless lives she touched.

A Funeral Mass celebrating Renee’s life will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church in Mint Hill, North Carolina with a reception to follow. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to McEwan Funeral Home in Mint Hill, NC.
