Rhonda Jean Pope, 71, of Charlotte, NC, went home to be with the Lord on September 17, 2025. She was born on March 14, 1954, and throughout her life, she touched countless hearts with her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love.
Rhonda was a devoted wife, married to her beloved husband, Richard Pope, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership. Together they built a family rooted in faith and strength. She was the cherished mother of Phillip Pope (wife Angela), Anastasia Pope, David Stamper, and Angel Snipes. Rhonda’s joy only grew as her family expanded, blessing her with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom were the pride of her heart.
A woman of deep faith, Rhonda’s love for the Lord shone brightly in everything she did. She had a passion for helping others, particularly children and veterans, and her selflessness was evident in the way she always put others before herself. She had a gift for giving advice that was both wise and compassionate, and her sense of humor could brighten even the darkest day.
Rhonda loved simple joys, reading a good book, shopping for treasures, sharing laughter with loved ones, but above all, her greatest joy was her family. Her strength, generosity, and devotion created a legacy of love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She will be remembered as a woman who lived with grace, courage, and faith. Though her absence leaves a profound ache, her spirit remains with us, in every act of kindness, every prayer lifted, and every memory shared.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Rhonda’s memory to Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Tunnel to Towers
