Rickey Lee Thornhill

Rickey was born in Williamson, West Virginia, on July 19, 1958, and was raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He attended Kent State University for Two years. After moving to Charlotte, North Carolina in the spring of 1984, Rickey met and married Donna Colligan Thornhill, and the two raised two children together, with Rickey entering into Quality Assurance in a manufacturing plant, a position he held for 22 years. Rickey was an avid reader, a devoted family man, and a die-hard sports fan; his love for the Cleveland Indians, Browns and Cavaliers lasted through his entire life.

Rickey was pre-deceased by his father, Virgil Thornhill, his mother, Angeline Widener, his brother, Alan Thornhill, and his sister, Karen Clarke. He is survived by his wife, Donna Thornhill, his son, Matthew Thornhill, and his daughter, Elizabeth Thornhill, all of Matthews. Also surviving are his sisters, Donna Smith, of Charlotte, his sister, Annetta Sexton, of Lorain, Ohio, and his brother, Keith Thornhill, of Cleveland, Ohio, and, several greatly loved nieces and nephews.
