Robert Caldwell Klutz

Robert Caldwell Klutz, born April 24, 1921, went to his heavenly home on February 3 , 2013. Bob was a man of service to his church, family, community and country. He was a man with an incredible work ethic. The first of his three careers (Charlotte Firefighter) was one of valuable service to his community and one that required courage of which he had abundance. Bob was an avid fisherman. The love of this sport coupled with boating was passed on to his two sons, daughter and the entire extended family. This made for countless wonderful family vacations. Robert served in the armed services from 1940 – 1944 and was with the Charlotte Fire Dept. for 30 years and retired as captain.

Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth Baker Klutz. He is survived by Sons’, Jerry A. Klutz & his wife Stephanie, Donald C. Klutz, daughter Frieda Cathey & her husband Hugh, as well as 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at two olcock Friday, February 8, 2013 at McEwen at Sharon Memorial Park 5716 Monroe Rd Charlotte, NC 28212.
