Robert was a kind and gentle man with a wonderful sense of humor. He loved his family and pets dearly. He enjoyed fishing, watching the Tar Heels and a good cup of coffee.
Robert is survived by his loving wife Joan of 49 years, his son Robert Jr (Crystal) and daughter Pam Pope, grandchildren Dwayne, Heath, Darien, Hailey and Sam, great grandchildren Wyatt and Paul.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at two o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 14th of January, 2017 at Central United Methodist Church located at 6030 Albemarle Rd in Charlotte.
