Robert R Tucker

Robert was born on January 28, 1936 in Charlotte, NC and was the son of the late Ethel Helms Tucker and John Hoover Tucker. He served as Air Police in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War. He took pride in his career as a professional long haul truck driver where he received recognition and awards for achievements such as; over 4 million miles of safe driving, December 1997 Driver of the Month by the NC Trucking Association, and participation in 3 state championships.

Robert enjoyed golfing, painting, and western movies. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family which his life and happiness centered around.

He is survived by his children, Denise Pryor and Lisa Martin; grandchildren, Alaina Pryor, Christopher Martin, and Timothy Martin; and sister, Helen Kiser. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Carlene Humphrey Tucker, who passed away on December 22, 2015.

A visitation with the family will take place at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Philadelphia Presbyterian Church, 11501 Bain School Road, Mint Hill NC, 28227. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 am in the church. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
