Doesn't seem like three years have past. They have gone by so quickly. Still missing those great talks with Sam and boy would we have had an awesome talk after the USA-Canada hockey game last week! Still in my thoughts daily and continued prayers for Sam's family. Time rolls on and the memories will last forever.  Missing you buddy and that will never change.

Seems like yesterday, love goes out to the family, I miss my high school friend!

Two years have passed, and the days are different. Some days it seems like yesterday that Sam and I were having one of our afterhours conversations and some days it feels so long ago. I will always miss those conversations and the positivity that they ended with no matter what challenges we were facing. Sam was the real deal and you knew you were always getting his true thoughts and feelings.  Continued prayers for his family.

Although it has been a year since Sam's passing I still have he and his family in my thoughts and prayers daily. He is in a better place and I know he is looking down on his friends and family with that huge smile. I continue to miss the conversations we had during our windshield time at the end of the work day.  The world was surely better when Sam was here.

One year has already passed and I cannot still believe Sam is gone.  They say time heals but it is not an easy process.  Replacing with memories serves as a constant reminder he is no longer with us.  We hope Sam is at a much better place.  While I know nothing can alleviate losing Sam, I will always remember my best friend on this day.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been a year already!  I remember the service at the cemetery that cold, rainy day in February…..and all the very nice things that friends and family shared.  Rest In Peace My Friend!

Sincere condolences to Sam's entire family. I knew Sam from grade school and high school and have only fond memories of a jovial, kind, warm hearted soul. He was truly a gentle giant. Rest in peace Sammy.

We are all so heartbroken by Samicu's sudden passing. I will miss him tremendously. It was such a pleasure seeing him in Vegas in October for one of his poker tournaments. As with his family, poker made him so happy, and this is how I will always remember him. His big smile would light up the room, and he was always so compassionate with a warm heart. He treated his cousins like a sibling, and he was always there for them. I too, would treat Samicu as one of my own every time he would visit. I am in disbelief that Sam is no longer with us. My heart goes out to Rachel, Mimi, DeAnne, and Allie, and I hope God will give them the strength to bear with our loss. My condolences to the rest of the family.

Sincere condolences to the entire Cynamon family.   I was privileged to not only work side by side with Sam but to also spend many hours in conversation when we both had plenty of windshield time ahead at the end of the day. I will miss those conversations that centered around family, business, sports and of course poker. Sam's smile, laugh, kindness and never give up attitude will never be forgotten and his light will continue to shine on us from above.

Oh DeAnn & Allie, I am so very sorry to hear about Sam. May G-d embrace & comfort you through the dark days ahead. My prayers are with you. 

My deepest condolences on the passing of my long time friend, Sam.  He was a brother to me that I never had growing up.  Although he was younger than me, Sam was always the one who took charge. He was honest, loyal and fearless which I really admired.  

Growing up in Ville Saint-Laurent we did everything together like normal boys would do. Playing sports with our friends was a major part. I will never forget the endless amount of times we played boot hockey at Chamberlain Park. Sam was great in goal.  Or, playing box ball in the school yard until it got really dark even though we were not able to see the ball. Those were really fun times.

Our mutual love for the Habs and Expos was incredible. You might say it was the glue of our friendship. Sam was a big fan of #19 Larry Robinson. We always talked about our beloved teams. The number of times we drove to see the Expos at as we like to call it the “Toilet Bowl” aka Olympic Stadium were memorable. Our biggest thrill was going to the 1993 Stanley Cup final Game 2 at the old Forum in one of the most infamous NHL games ever played (Marty McSorley illegal stick) which allowed the Habs to tie the game and go on to win in a thrilling overtime. Habs won the Cup in five games. Sam and I said to each other on many occasions afterwards this was best moment ever.

When Sam decided to leave Montreal for the US, I was heartbroken but I knew it was for the best. Sam started his wonderful family and he was happy. We kept in touch by calling each other on our birthdays. It was so nice to reminisce.  He would talk about his pride of Allie and how great DeAnne was to him and of course his poker exploits. I was really happy for him. He was enjoying life to the fullest.

Though I am still reeling from the sudden death of my dear friend, Sam, I will deeply miss him and I will think about him every day. Sam will always be my best friend.

We are deeply saddened to hear about Sam's passing.  Sam was a great Area Manager for Performance Foodservice and was always willing to help our team and his colleagues.  Our sympathy goes out to his family that he loved dearly.......he will be missed.

Sam was one of the nicest guys i’ve ever met. He cared so much about his customers and did everything he could to make sure their needs were met. Heaven gained an angel and his family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers. Deepest condolences from me and the entire Tony’s Pizza family. 

Jacob Sponko, what a fantastic picture and said it perfectly..."like glue". No matter where, near or far, he was my cousin Sammy. Best of times growing up together-street hockey, sleepovers, family day trips to the Catskills, my crazy sweet 16, and judging Mimi and me over and over for contests and who performed "Grease" songs best. This is my earliest memory with Sam. I felt so lucky to have "the cool cousin." On that trip we were inseparable, "like glue," is how he described it. He was so incredibly caring, funny, had a strong moral compass, and valued a strong family bond. Just like a big teddy bear, Sam had a lot of love to give, and was very much loved by others. While Sam will be extremely missed, our memories together will never be forgotten as he made a true, meaningful impact on my life. My sincerest condolences to the family. Rest well Samicu <3

I met big boy Seymour 'Sam' in high school. He was such a fun loving soul and we shared so many laughs playing ball hockey over the years at Cardinal Léger school in Saint-Laurent. He was such a calm and warm individual; it's too bad that we didn't keep in touch over the years. May he Rest In Peace. My condolences to his family. 

Sam was one of the greatest guys I knew. He not only made me laugh, but loved his family and friends deeply. I will never forget spending time with him in Vegas playing poker and ultimate poker and all of the amazing times my family and I had together with him and his family. He always wanted me to try raw sushi but I liked it cooked - and knew every Italian restaurant owner in Indian Trail - he was passionate about his job and his customers.  It is still so surreal.  I will miss you Sam and wish I had made even more memories with you. Love ya brother - Rest In Peace Sam.

First time playing catch. The days at sears. The nights me keeping Sammy company while he worked night shift at the local 24h convenient  store baking the croissants...
Later as we became young men,  going out for beers downtown with Adam, Kevin and the rest of the st-Laurent gang.   We haven’t been in contact for years. Sammy always wanted to move to the states, and he did.  Cheerful, warm, kind, happy.  Like the movie quote “I will miss my friend.” May his soul be free and shine as bright as did he. May his family find solace and comfort in each other. RIP - my friend.

This world will not be the same.  A shining light has been distinguished.  Sammy will be sorely missed by all.  Sadly I haven’t seen him in many years, my loss. A memory.  Well I was the reason Sammy had his first broken bone.  Babysat him as a baby I was around 12 and left him on changing table to get a diaper.  Sammy who never stood still rolled of the changing table and broke his leg.  Loved him always and always will.  Rest In Peace dear Sammy.  Continue shining a light over your family.
