Sarah Rebecca Arnold

Both of Sarah’s parents grew up in Rehoboth, Massachusetts, and a funeral service and burial was held August 31, 2026, at the Rehoboth Congregational Church prior to her interment in the family plot in Rehoboth Village Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for a Memorial Gathering on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at McEwen Funeral Service Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, North Carolina 28227.

In addition to being survived by her mother, Sarah is survived by her elder brother, L. Taylor Arnold, her sister-in-law, Jill Catherine Arnold, her nephews, Aiden William Arnold and Alexander Ethan Arnold, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Sarah’s Special Needs education began in Overland Park, Kansas, continued briefly in Exton, Pennsylvania, and finished at Metro School in Charlotte, North Carolina.

As an adult, she was a resident of Howell Center-Clear Creek, now called RHA, a home for residents with disabilities. Perhaps because she was largely non-verbal, Sarah was gifted with the ability to convey unequivocally to her family and friends her deep, sincere, and abiding love for them, and was able to unquestioningly accept their love in return.

While the scope and duration of Sarah’s life may have been circumscribed, the depth of its impact will be felt for many years.
