

He was born on April 3, 1958 in Somerville, MA to the late Ernesto Camilo and Maria Viveiros Camilo.
Rocky worked 20 years at Scott McCorkle’s Liberty Buick GMC as a Fixed Operations Director. He was an ordained deacon at First Baptist Church of Matthews and was a member of the Faith in Action Sunday School Class. He loved spending time with his family and being VoVo to his four grandchildren.
Mr. Camilo is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kelley Camilo; son, Jamie Camilo and his wife Kalee; daughter, Taylor Jones and her husband Casey; grandchildren, Hayes Camilo, Avalyn Camilo, Tristan Jones and Malinda Jones; sister, Marie Wade and her husband John; brother, Joseph Camilo and his wife Tracy; brother-in-law, Carl Seagren and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Carmen Seagren.
A visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Matthews, 185 S. Trade Street, Matthews, NC 28105 with a visitation held one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Forest Lawn East Cemetery, 3700 Forest Lawn Dr., Matthews, NC 28104.
