Tribute to Terry Eudy

“Terry passed into Jesus’ arms,”
Fran said.  His life made anew!
A man of great strength, a man of great faith,
A dedicated Christian through and through.

Someone in need? -- Terry’d always respond.
He saw Jesus in everyone.
Whether in his beloved east Charlotte,
Or in Mississippi, he’d get the work done!

Need something fixed? A project done--
Terry didn’t ask “How?”  but “Why not.”
In his own humble way, he’d figure it out,
Then deliver tools “johnny on the spot”!

He deeply loved and took pride in his family
And in his church family as well.
He taught Sunday School with skill, care and humor,
Crediting Frances in the stories he’d tell.

Terry deeply loved God’s creation.
And he was able to make all things grow!
When “Trees Charlotte” said plant trees for the future,
Terry said without hesitation --“Let’s Go.”

As we drive into Central UMC in the springtime,
Enjoying beautiful blossoms along the way,
Inspired by the work of this gentle spirit—a giant,

It is late February now, and Terry's trees are blooming gloriously down the driveway and in the playground of Central United Methodist Church--a reminder of his inward beauty and the many gifts he left with us!                               Louise and Dick

Special times with Terry and Kevin at Panther Stadium watching Clemson football! CCC 5K race where Terry flashed by me to win our age bracket! Fun construction projects,  he was a very skilled and knowledgeable craftsman!'

I have so many good memories of Terry. He was one of the Sunday school teachers in the Friendship Class for many years, and he was a very active member of the Church and the Men's Club. He was always a very positive person and was quick with a smile and positive greeting. Terry was also a very good carpenter, and my husband and I employed Terry whenever a project around the house involved a hammer  and a nail. Terry will be missed, but we will see him again--praise be to God!

Terry was my main man for any household repairs for years. He succeeded in getting rid of the bats in my eaves and earned the title of “bat man”.  He was as fine a Christian Man as I have ever known. I’ll never forget him and the example he set.

Terry was a great mentor, he was not afraid to share his knowledge. He made everyone better in doing that. The best times I had were the Terry and don projects, you always learned something new about Terry and his life. Truly the world will be a less friendly place without Terry in it. Thank you Terry for being a wonderful person and for accepting me as part of your precious and wonderful family!  You will always be in our hearts  and your truly special family now has a very special angel. The Holy Trinity is welcoming you in heaven and having a feast for you!

I was saddened to hear of Terry's passing. I worked with him at County IST. He was a very good manager and worked well with others. I greatly appreciated his integrity and character.  I enjoyed our friendship and work relationship.

Condolences to his wife and family. I am sure he will be greatly missed.

I grew up with Terry in Hickory Grove. I always looked up to him and we spent many days and years having great times as kids. I lost touch with him and just about everyone else. I am very happy to read and see what a fine Christian life Terry led for so many years. I pray for comfort to his family.

Terry was on the UNCC wrestling team with me.  I remember him as a kind colleague...until he got on the mat.. just kidding.   I am aware of his recent state of being and send my sincere best everything to the family.  He is remember and I am sure enjoying his just Rewards with our Lord.
