Terry Thomas Shook

Terry was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle and cousin.

Terry’s witty sense of humor, kind heart, listening ear and loving soul are just a few of the many things that made him so special. Terry’s love for his family and his friends was a genuine kind of love. He was loved and adored by all. Terry’s favorite place to be was home. He enjoyed relaxing at home with his wife (Sandy) while watching movies, worship services, nascar, and the Food Network channel. He loved trying new recipes, and was an excellent cook. His favorite vacation getaway was the mountains. Many of Terry’s and Sandy’s fondest memories were made there. He had a passion for cats. His fur baby cat (D) was his favorite little girl. He thoroughly loved and enjoyed feeding, loving , and taking care of his and Sandy’s outside cats. Terry was a dedicated and hardworking employee. He was the Service Supervisor for Greystar Management, where he was employed for 16 years. He built a family like bond with some of the Greystar team in which he deeply cherished. The greatest accomplishment in Terry’s life occurred 7 years ago. He fully surrendered his life to Christ. He served God with all of his heart. He loved to tell others about the goodness of God.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Thomas Shook, and his son, Derek Quenton Shook.

Those left to honor Terry’s Legacy is his loving wife, Sandra (Sandy) Nealy Shook; daughter, Jessica Weaver (Nicole); mother, Margie Shook; sister, Janice Tucker (Roy); sister, Teresa Butler (Rick); stepdaughter, Danielle Taperman (Joseph); 8 grandchildren; nieces; nephews and cousins.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 9, 2025, followed by Terry’s Celebration of Life at 2:00 pm. New Life Church of Jesus Christ.
