

Theodore H. Morris, Sr. "Hermon", of Mint Hill, NC passed away Monday, May 28, 2012. The family will receive friends from 12:00 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012 in the Rotunda of Philadelphia Presbyterian Church, with the service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the main sanctuary of the church. Burial will follow at Evergreen Burial Park. Hermon was born March 16, 1932 in Charlotte to the late Zebulon and Rena Mae Morris. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Zeb Morris and sister, Lela Morris. Hermon attended Oakhurst High School and N.C. State University. He was an Army veteran of World War II and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer from the 108th Division USAR, after 32 years of Service. Hermon retired from BellSouth with over thirty years of service in the engineering division. He was very active in his community and was organizing Past Master and Life Member of Mint Hill Masonic Lodge #742. He was also a member of the Matthews Lodge #461, KCCH in the Scottish Rite, a member of the Oasis Shrine Patrol and Oasis Past Master's Unit. Hermon was a devoted husband and father. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Sigrid, who he married on April 2, 1955; son, Dr. Theodore H. "Ted" Morris, Jr. (Margaret) of Mint Hill; daughter, Audrey M. White of Concord; and five grandchildren, Allison, Cameron, and Meredith Morris, and Christopher and Bradley White.
