He was born on July 16, 1936, in Boston, MA, to Julius and Mary Grigg Darr.
He was a Korean War veteran who served his country in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his three sons: John “Chris” Darr, Charlotte; Rick (Patti) Darr, Monroe, NC; and Tim (Danielle) Darr, Matthews, NC; one brother, Ed (Joy) Darr, Simsbury, CT; four grandchildren: Nicholas, Christopher, Tim, Jr., and Jaime Darr; and one great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Darr.
There will be no visitation and no services.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Chester Darr.
