

Tim was born on July 20, 1948, in Greensboro, NC. He was the son of Wilma “Snooky” Jones and Neil Jones. Tim was an avid golfer, swimmer, and veteran of the United States Coast Guard. In addition, Tim was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC.
Tim was a loving, thoughtful, and generous husband, father, and grandfather, who loved spending time with his family. Tim was married to his loving wife Ruby and they recently celebrated their 55th Wedding Anniversary in June.
Tim was also a lifeguard at Ocean Drive in N. Myrtle Beach, SC, he loved taking his family and friends sailing, and was an accomplished triathlete. Tim was fond of sports cars and enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
Tim was extremely proud of his career in the Dental Industry. While working with his many friends and colleagues, he demonstrated the passion and enthusiasm that made him a legend in this field. Most importantly, during the decades in this profession he ensured that he put others needs before his own and lived with a positive and selfless attitude that was an inspiration to us all.
Surviving Tim is his wife, Ruby of Mint Hill, N.C.; his three sons, Tim Jr., wife Christal, and grandson, Landon of Purcellville, VA.; Chris, wife Pam, and grandson, Jack of Ridgefield, WA.; Robert of Sacramento, CA, step-grandson, Braxton, granddaughter, Haley, and grandson Austin: and brother, Gary of Pittstown, NJ.
Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00pm on Friday, October 4th, 2024 at McEwen Funeral Service – Mint Hill Chapel 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Rd. Mint Hill, NC. Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm. Graveside services will be at 11:00am on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Greensboro, NC.
