Vann was one of the last of Dad's generation that grew their business together in the construction field. Vann was a wonderful man and friend. Our hearts go out to all of the family and extended family. But it is great that his legacy still lives on through his children and others.

Linda, Cecil and I are just sick about Van. We had no idea that he was that sick. We certainly would have made arrangements to come for the service but did not get home in time to get your message. I hope we can see you before long. Much love, Barbara K

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Hatley family. I never had the opportunity to meet Van, but how Jeff spoke about him on business trips he was definitely a very generous and loving father.

I am so very sorry to hear that Van has passed away. Your whole family has my deepest sympathy. I can't begin to tell you how many times I saw Van Hatley go down Shuffletown Drag Strip. Also when you heard the name Van Hatley you always thought of a 1955 Chevrolet. One other thing I remember is it was always "Van Hatley" Never just "Van" or "Hatley". He probably never knew most of us, but we all were big Fans !

My sincerest and heart felt condolences to Linda and the Hatley family. Van was a wonderful boss to my husband Tom and was always very generous to us. His presence will be missed. May the Lord bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you and bring you peace. With Love, Kristine and Tom Fisher

My condolences to the family. As a former drag racer, when Van showed up, I knew I was running for second place. He was special on the track and I'm sure in the rest of his life.
