

He was born on March 1, 1927 in Charleston, South Carolina to the late Ernest and Ruby Steverson. He was preceded in death by his sister, Geneva S. Bailey.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ann Bedell Steverson; and daughters, Beth Steverson of Lake Worth, Florida, Lynn S. Dunn (Ken) of Willow Spring, North Carolina and Joan S. Street (John) of Hendersonville, North Carolina; grandchildren, Andrew Pignato (Rachel) of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Elizabeth Pignato of West Palm Beach, Florida, Hunter and Danielle Street, Kenny Dunn (Faith) of Coats, North Carolina and Melody Dunn Brisson (Tracey) of Garner, North Carolina; great-grandchildren, Senate Pignato, Kaitleigh, Brooklin and Parker Brisson and Victoria, Michael, Caleb and Brianna Dunn. He is also survived by a great number of loving nieces and nephews.
Warren was a graduate of Charleston High School, a Navy veteran (Seabees, WWII) and attended Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina.
He had a longstanding career in sales and marketing with both Esso Standard Oil and Gulf Oil Corporation.
He was a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church for 52 years, serving as a deacon, Sunday School teacher and served on various committees.
Warren loved his Lord, his family and his country.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. – 12 noon on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at Oakhurst Baptist Church, with a funeral service immediately following with Pastor Wayne Deffinger officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road, Mint Hill, North Carolina 28227.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oakhurst Baptist Church, 5037 Monroe Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28205.
