William "Carl" Deen

Carl graduated from South Mecklenburg High School, and received his aviation license in 1991 from Conway Aviation School in Conway, SC. He was Senior Vice President of Bank of America/Merrill Lynch, and was previously a Captain with US Air. Prior to earning his pilot’s license, Carl worked at Saber Cargo, Rock Hill Airport, Queen City TV & Appliance, Village Market, was a Wrestling Announcer, Lawn Service, and A&P Grocery.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Brunson Deen, to whom he married on February 6, 1994; and his children, Brittney, 23, Corey, 18, and Bryce, 13. Carl is also survived by his mother, Rachel Deen; sisters, Rachel Hass and Gail Caudle; and brother, Ronnie Deen.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 10:00 until 11:30 A.M. Monday, March 3, 2014, at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, with a funeral service to immediately follow at 11:30 A.M. at the church. The Reverend Clint Pressley and The Reverend John Harrill will officiate. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
