William Albert Heath Jr.

He was born in Kinston, North Carolina. He was the son of the late William Albert Heath and Doris Sours. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. Following his service, he began a lifelong career in the Shoe Industry starting with Kenny Shoes and then as a shoe buyer for the Shoe Show.

He was a devoted husband to his late wife Diane. They were married for 49 years and they enjoyed many of those years playing golf together at Pine Lake Country Club with their friends. He was a loving father to his daughter, Hallie and her husband, Chris Lyon and a loving grandfather to his grandchildren, Blake and Avery.

Bill will be remembered fondly for his sense of humor, his warm heart, and his kindness to all who knew him.

In addition to his parents and wife, Bill was predeceased by his brother, John Heath.

He is survived by daughter, Hallie (Chris) Lyon; grandchildren, Blake Lyon and Avery Lyon; sister in law, Mary Michael; brother in law, Ed (Nina) Downing; and several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 12 PM to 1 PM at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227. Funeral Services will immediately follow.
