Yvonne Bell Stegall

She was born on November 6, 1951, in Charlotte, NC to the late Fredrick Armelle Bell and Cleo Jane Benfield Bell.

Yvonne graduated from Garinger High School and retired from the Mecklenburg County School System. She was a Legionette for Legion Post 262 in the 90’s with her friends Becky, Cindy, Jenny, and Sue.

Yvonne enjoyed spending time with family and friends at her home away from home on Badin Lake. She loved having everyone there to enjoy time together, going on a boat ride, floating in the lake, sharing meals together, watching the sunset, and laughing at all the stories told. She also loved to do any kind of crafting with friends and family so much so that she had a room dedicated just to that. Making costumes and figuring out school projects for the grandkids, trying new recipes, working jigsaw puzzles, and doing her nails were some of her favorite pastimes after she retired. Yvonne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, mother-in-law, and friend that will be dearly missed by all.

Yvonne is survived by her husband, Dale Stegall; daughter, Samantha Stegall Hunter and husband, Chase; stepson, Brandon Stegall and his wife, Samantha; grandchildren, Noah and Baylee Clowers and Lyla and Hank Hunter; brother, Bob Bell his wife, Linda and their children and families; lifetime friends, Becky Woods and husband, James, Cindy Hooks and husband, Randy.

Family and friends will hold a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Badin Lake Volunteer Fire Department 387 Uwharrie Point Pkwy. New London, NC 28127.
