He was born on February 7, 1958. Alan attended Apison Elementary School, grades 1-8, then continued his education at Collegedale Academy, graduating in 1977. He earned a BS degree in Industrial Arts Education from Southern Missionary College in 1984.
Alan worked several years in the construction business. He enjoyed wood-working, electronics, mechanics, sports and camping. Alan was a member of the Standifer Gap Seventh-day Adventist Church. He was a kind, compassionate friend and brother and he will be greatly missed.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Betty Calloway.
He is survived by his sister, Judy Calloway (Kevin), Otto; two brothers, David Calloway and Larry (Tammy) Calloway; two nieces, Lisa (Darrin) Djernes and Rachel Otto and two nephews, Jonathan Otto and Matthew (Betsy) Calloway.

There will be a visitation on Friday, December 8, 2023 from 1 - 2 PM at the Chattanooga Funeral Home, Valley View Chapel, 7414 Old Lee Highway, Chattanooga, TN 37421 followed by a Graveside service at 2:30 PM at Collegedale Memorial Park.
