

Born in Florence, Alabama, Andrew lived most of his life in Chattanooga where he attended Central High School, 1957. He was employed as a Quality Engineer at Combustion Engineering before starting a business as a contractor.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Korea and a U.S. Navy Seabee Reservist.
Andrew was a member of Tyner United Methodist Church and Fidelity Lodge.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Janet Armstrong McPeters; son, James Andrew (Angel) McPeters; two daughters, Jennifer (Mike) Taylor of Cleveland, TN; Jill (Nick) Petroff of Birmingham, AL; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; brother, Glenn McPeters of Birmingham, AL; sisters, Francis Hill of Stockbridge, GA; Helen (Bill) Williams of Coldspring, TX; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Harrison officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military rites being conducted.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
