She was preceded in death by her son, David Randal Thomas and two brothers, Richard and Wade Goodner.
Survivors include her husband, Don Thomas, two sisters, Linda Pauline (Adrian) Meadows and Betty Jean (Bill) Harrison.
She was a 1958 graduate of Ooltewah High School and a 1961 graduate of the Baroness Erlanger School of Nursing. She was a First Lieutenant and veteran of the United States Air Force. She worked for many years at Lakeside Medical Center.
Barbara was a member of Savannah United Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 28, 2018 at Wesleyann Cemetery in Apison, Tennessee with Pastor Jeni Lee officiating.
