Betty Cox, 95, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026. She was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church. She served in the church nursery and kitchen for many years. Betty and her late husband, LeBron, loved to travel. She also loved to fellowship with her friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Lebron Cox; parents, Ruby and Frank Drennon; brothers, Donald Drennon, Billy Drennon; sisters, Luetta Reynolds, Jean Edgeman, Christine Edgeman, and Marie Drennon.
Betty is survived by her sister-in-laws, Linda (Frank) Price and C.J. Cox; several neices and nephews; special friends Betty Ledbetter and Juanita Robinson.
Visitation will be May 28th, 2026 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Valley View Chapel of the Chattanooga Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow visitation at 12:00 in the chapel. The interment will follow the service at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Oakwood Baptist Church.
