Beverly Janice Cloud

Beverly Janice Cloud, age 61, of Franklin, Tennessee, died on January 16, 2012.

Janice was born on March 2, 1950 in Great Falls, Montana to Herbert and Lorena Kennedy. She was a 1968 graduate of Central High School. Janice was married to Stephen Cloud on January 10, 1969. She was employed by Haverty’s general office for 20 years and retired in June 2007. She was a member of Brentwood Baptist Church in Brentwood, Tennessee.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Lorena Kennedy of Chattanooga.

Janice is survived by her husband Stephen Cloud of 43 years; daughter Stephanie (Todd) Presnell of Nashville; two grandchildren, Will Presnell and Elise Presnell; two sisters, Rhonda McCain of Chattanooga and Sheryl (Glenn) LaBoda of Norcross, Georgia and numerous nieces and nephews.

The service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 19 at the Chattanooga Funeral Home Valley View Chapel. Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson. Janice’s nephews will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.

The family honors Janice for her grace and courage as she battled ovarian cancer for the past two years. Her unwavering, steadfast faith in Jesus Christ sustained her through her illness and brought a “peace that passeth understanding.” Janice lived her favorite scripture “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6.
