

He was preceded in death by his son Greg Neely and parents Luther and Glenna Holder Neely.
He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Ooltewah. He was a devoted choir director at Maple Grove Baptist and Lakeway Baptist for many years. Boonie proudly served his country in the US Air Force and retired from Teamsters Local 515 TVA at Watts Bar Nuclear Plant. He was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his devoted wife Dorothy Allien Neely, of Ooltewah, daughter Tammy (Tommy) Maynard, of Hixson, stepchildren, Belinda (Darren) Keown, of Ooltewah and Barry (Andrea) Baker, of Soddy Daisy, sister Tommie Braley, of Ooltewah and brother Doyle Neely, of Harrison, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Reverends Jeff Howell, Paul Taylor and James Langston officiating. Interment will follow in Old McDonald Cemetery, Ooltewah with Bill Lee, Gregory Maynard, Edwin Prichard, Luke Keown, Mike Duffey and Robbie Baker serving as pallbearers. Military rites will be conducted at the cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
