ohhh Mamaw, where do i even start. I guess i’m going to start with a thank you, Thank you for being the most loving and caring person i was able to grow up around. Thank you for always putting everyone else before yourself. Thank you for always checking how school was going, or how my morning was, or asking how my accidents from bike wrecks and all the other things were healing. Thank you for always being there to talk to, no matter what it was about. You are the strongest woman i have ever met, and i think that is something everyone in our family should look up too. Your overall bravery and persistence was one thing. But your overall will to fight was amazing. I love you so so so much, and i miss you terribly, this hill will never be the same without you here. help Papaw Joel keep Aunt Sharon in line up there. Also, even though you have passed away, and everyone is deeply saddened, we should not dwell on the moments we can not have with you anymore, but should cherish all of the memories we all have made together.

Momma, you are missed today and everyday! I also still expect to get a dozen phone calls a day. I’m so grateful I was able to help take care of you in your last days, I would do it again in a heartbeat. I’m glad you are no longer suffering and can finally be at peace. Fly high my Angel, look out for us and continue to guide us as you always have. You absolutely was the strongest women I’ve ever known, and never quit fighting or gave up until the very end. You leave behind a legacy that we will always strive to achieve. Love you Momma, until we meet again, may you Rest In Peace!!

Memaw,

where do I start? There are so many wonderful memories I have to share. You created this big family and you showered every single one of us with so much love that will forever impact us. You have always been the strongest woman I know. Your strength and example for living has guided me in my life every day.l I can say whole heartedly none of us were ready to let you go, but we know you are no longer suffering and fighting anymore. For this, I am grateful.

One of my favorite memories is how you always made sure we were well fed. Thank you for stabbing our hands with forks when we would reach across the table, teaching us manners. Always making us try the food that was cooked so if we knew whether or not if we liked it.. You always had your home opened to all of us, helped each of us when we needed it or didn’t need it, and all of the food we could possibly eat to keep our fatty packs. I love you so much Memaw forever your favorite red headed granddaughter.

Family, during this time we need each other more than ever. We must try to keep our family as close as possible and not let each other slip away, love each of these precious babies as mamaw would as well as each other. Continue to treat each other with respect. By doing this, Memaw's legacy of love will live on for generations to come. Please know my phone is always open, call me anytime I will always be here for you all.

Forever and always lele.

We first met Carlus about 36 years ago when she and her family moved into a house across the street from us. I don't know why she chose to come to our house,(maybe it was because she saw our 4 little kids running around the yard and she decided that we had something in common). Carlus had so much enthusiasm for life. It was fun to see her excitement when she saw our mountains, and she absolutely loved the aspen trees and their beautiful fall colors. We were planning to go see the mountains and trees next year, but she is in a beautiful place now. She was such a dear friend. We talked on the phone, sometimes for hours. We talked about our families, marriages, divorces, grandkids and great grandkids. She got me there cause we only have 2 granddaughters! We laughed and cried over the phone, we could tell each other anything. She was a kind and loving person and it was fate that brought us together. We will miss you my dear friend. We will meet again one day. RIP

I knew this wonderful person for along time and she was always amazing in every way her heart was always big for others and she done everything she could to make sure everyone was happy. Her smilie would light a room up when every you needed a smilie. I’ll never forget the first time she made me haystacks I was so surprised and amazed on how great it was I remember when she would throw a family get together on Saturday after church and she would make sure everyone was full and we all share story’s around the table. I’ll never forget these wonderful person thank you for everything.
