Carolyn F. Hutsell, 98, passed away on January 17, 2024. She was born on August 21, 1925, in Pisgah, Alabama. She was preceded in death by parents Marvin J. Ferguson and Viada Woodfin Ferguson, brothers John J. Ferguson, and Barney C. Ferguson, and sister Delores F. Kelley.
She is survived by her children Michael (Sylvia) Hutsell, Lynda H. (Gary) Mishoe, Sharon H. (David) Thomas, and Karon H. (Bobby) Oliver, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Lookout Valley Baptist Church for 68 years and was employed at Cavalier Corporation for 45 years. She also served as a Red Cross volunteer at Parkridge Hospital for 40 years. She sacrificed much for her children who deeply loved and respected her for it. Her children rise up and call her blessed (Proverbs 31:28). She was, without a doubt, the best mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother ever. She was fondly known as Nana by most. She lived a legacy and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 PM on Sunday, January 21, 2024 followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 5 PM with Dr. Alan Johnston officiating.
Private burial services will be in Pisgah, Alabama.
