Doris Fay Green

She was the daughter of the late Raymond A. and Lottie Byrd and was preceded in death by her husband, John Green, daughter, Brenda Byrd Johnson, two brothers, Conner Raymond Byrd, Charles Byrd and a niece, Mary Nell Reed.

Doris was a graduate of Ooltewah High School and retired from Chattanooga Tent Company. She loved traveling throughout the United States and had visited every state with the exception of Alaska and Hawaii.

She was a member of Ooltewah United Methodist Church.

Survivors include five nephews and a niece, Michael Byrd, David Byrd, Charles E. Byrd, Raymond Cleveland Byrd, Wayne Byrd, Judy Wilbanks, and two great nephews, Michael Bilancetti and Mark Bilancetti.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev. Ramon Torres officiating. Interment will be in the Ooltewah Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
