She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on February 2, 1945 and was the daughter of the late Tom L. and Rebecca Lerch.
Elaine was a 1963 graduate of East Ridge High School and attended UT Martin. She and her husband worked in interior decorating for many years in and around the Chattanooga and Cleveland areas. Elaine also was an avid gardener and loved planting flowers.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, David Bell, of Cleveland, Tennessee.
Graveside services will be held in the Chattanooga National Cemetery at a later date.
