Gene did indeed leave this world a better place!  There are so many memories of Gene and activities we shared during the years.  We met strolling our little ones (Rebecca and Laura) at E. Rivers Elementary School over 40 years ago.  When we volunteered to do a cooking class for an "enrichment class",  she came with her pasta machine and showed the kids how to make fresh pasta.  It was a learning experience for me too!  My daughters remember the wonderful Sunday family dinners at the D'Angelo house.  She was an expert on plants and I'm going to miss this resource.   She brought me Iris bulbs last year and I will remember her every time they bloom.  

Her family was the most important thing in her life and she just adored the grandchildren, often sharing stories about their visits to Tiger.

My thoughts and prayers are with this wonderful family as deal with this sudden, painful loss.    

So, thankful to have known her. As friends of Louise and Tom, we watched grandma and grandpa Monti show incredible dedication to come watch Ceci play various sports in Snellville. They would sometimes drive all the way from Tiger, then drag their chairs down the uneven berm to sit and watch (high-quality) T-ball, soccer, etc. She always had charming things to say. In particular, she and I would talk about music, as she enjoyed very high-quality music and expected that of others. I shared her goal, and we enjoyed referencing specific composers or pieces.

Gene had so many positive attributes it is hard to mention them all. She was a wonderful wife and mother who showed an interest in everyone around her. Sam, Cas, Louise, and Laura my thoughts and prayers are with you in this sad time.

Sam, Cas. Louise, Laura - You all are in my prayers and heart.  I have many pleasant memories of Gene, her Mother and all of you.  She was a special lady and friend to James and me.  My memories go back to Gene and Sara in Moultrie, on to U. Ga., our home with Sam and Gene there while they were at U. Ga.  Please keep me in your prayers.  Let's stay in touch. Mrs. D'Angelo left the world better than she found it via her lovely family. We celebrate her legacy especially in our dear friends Louise and Tom Monti and their great kids Cecilia and Tony. Pete and I are praying for all of you.

A loving and genuine Spirit. I am grateful for the friendship she gave to my parents and me. Her gift to support is treasured. Love to Sam, Cas, Louise, Laura and Family.
