She was born March 2, 1917 to the late E.L. and Mamie Simmons. She is preceded in death by her husband, Willis Reno, daughter, Neva Jo Casey, two brothers and two sisters.
Esta was strong in her faith and loved her family deeply. She was an active member of the Church Of God and loved to sing and serve wherever she could. She was a beautician by trade. She always had on the latest fashions and rarely left the house without a hat on.
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy (G.L.) Chambers; sons, Willis “Butch” (Mona) Reno, Ernie (Karen) Reno, 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind sisters, Sammie Dansby, Amalfi Cato and Peggie Simmons. What a legacy she has left behind!
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 on Sunday, January 15 at City Church of Chattanooga followed by a celebration of life. They would also like to encourage everyone to wear a hat of choice in memory of her life.
The family would like to say thanks to Martin-Boyd Christian Home and a special thanks to the memory-care unit for all the excellent care they have provided through the years.
