Ester Ann Tidwell, 79, of Ooltewah, TN, passed away Thursday evening, September 29, 2011 at her residence. A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Lady Shrine and the Western Square Dance Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald C. Tidwell. Survivors include two special friends, Mary Bingham and Vanetta Perry both of Ooltewah; several extended family members and other friends. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Chattanooga and the staff of Preferred Care at Home for their special care and love. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Dale Lovelady officiating. Interment will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
