

He was born in Putnam, Oklahoma on August 6, 1938 to the late Owen and Lora Linville.
Fred attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University prior to serving his country in the US Army. He was a member of the 101st Airborne.
He retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee where he had worked as a computer analyst. Fred loved his family and enjoyed spending time out on his farm with his horses and his John Deere tractors. He was an avid golfer and appreciated a very active lifestyle.
He was a member of Ooltewah United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife Edna Linville, of Ooltewah, TN, four children, Bill Linville, of East Ridge, TN, Michael Linville (Brandii), of Oklahoma City, OK, Melissa Bache (Glenn), of Auburn, AL, Jamie Olive Cate (Chad), of Soddy Daisy, TN, eight grandchildren, Maggie Linville, Andrew Linville, Natalie Linville, Ryder Linville, Jarett Bache, Avery Bache, Braxton Angel, Katelyn Angel, sister, Jean Moseley, of Oklahoma City, OK, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 pm, Friday, March 18, 2022, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Dr. Dwight Kilbourne officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military rites being conducted.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, Friday, March 18, 2022, at the funeral home.
