She was the daughter of the late Garland M. and Frankie L. Marler.
She was a charter member of Bayside Baptist Church and retired from Highway 58 Trophy Shop.
She graduated from Chattanooga High School and was a tremendous athlete excelling in both basketball and fast pitch softball.
Survivors include her husband Marvin Parks, of Harrison, TN., three children, Tim Parks, of Truckee, CA., Alethea (Roger) Thompson, of Lakeland, LA., Bill (Lee Ann) Parks, of Cleveland, TN., six grandchildren, Erika Thompson, Preston Thompson, Sydney Parks, Brantlee Parks, Olivia Owenby, Amelia Owenby, sister, Barbara Chelette, of Jacksonville, FL., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Stitts officiating. Interment will follow in New McDonald Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
